3U HOLDING AG Expands Bitcoin Portfolio
3U HOLDING AG has increased its investment in Bitcoin as part of a short-term treasury strategy. The company's overall Bitcoin portfolio now stands at 331, following the purchase of 131 additional bitcoins valued at EUR 11.8 million. This brings the total investment to over EUR 23.9 million.
Although 3U HOLDING AG focuses primarily on information and telecommunication services, environmentally friendly power generation, online trading in home technology, and real estate projects, the Bitcoin acquisition is meant to invest surplus liquidity. This aims to strengthen 3U’s financial and strategic positioning.
CFO Christoph Hellrung highlighted that this move aligns with a growing trend where innovative companies use Bitcoin as a treasury instrument, driven by the pursuit of a diversified investment portfolio amidst volatile conditions.
