ABEO Boosts Urban Sports Presence with Hurricane Group Acquisition
ABEO, a global sports and leisure equipment supplier, has acquired 60% of Hurricane Group's share capital. Hurricane, established in 1997, is a prominent entity in urban sports, particularly in Europe and China. It earned €13 million in 2025 and has 75 employees.
The group excels in organizing international events like the FISE and designing sports facilities, such as Olympic skateparks. Urban sports' growth, fueled by Olympic inclusion and youth interest, is a significant factor in this partnership.
This strategic alliance will enhance Hurricane's growth using ABEO's global network and improve both companies' brand visibility. The acquisition involves a combination of cash and equity financing, with Hurricane consolidating from August 2026.
