Abivax Expands Commercial Team for Potential U.S. Launch

Abivax, a biotechnology company based in Paris, has announced the expansion of its Commercial Leadership Team with strategic appointments aimed at bolstering its market capabilities. The company, known for its work on developing therapeutics for chronic inflammatory diseases, is preparing for the potential U.S. commercialization of its drug candidate, obefazimod. Planned to submit a New Drug Application (NDA) to the FDA by the end of 2026, Abivax seeks to enhance its commercial strategy as it nears a pivotal market entry.

Michael Nesrallah, Chief Commercial Officer, emphasized the importance of these leadership additions in the context of Abivax's focus on inflammatory bowel disease and immunology. This move includes prominent figures such as James Berger, Ivan Nuñez-Pacheco, Heather Dean, and Jeff Haas, who bring extensive experience in marketing, patient services, sales, and market access, respectively. Together, they are set to prepare Abivax for a possible launch of obefazimod in the United States.
