Accor Adjusts Timing of Share Buyback Program Launch
Accor has announced a shift in the schedule for its €100 million share buyback program. Initially set for the fourth quarter of 2025, the launch is now postponed to the first quarter of 2026. This decision aligns with ongoing discussions regarding the sale of its stake in Essendi, previously known as AccorInvest. Under French law, these discussions are classified as insider information, necessitating the delay.
Accor remains committed to initiating the buyback once the information ceases to be deemed insider, irrespective of whether the Essendi stake sale is finalized. The strategic adjustment aims to ensure regulatory compliance while maintaining the group's financial strategies.
