AiMotive Launches aiWare5 for Enhanced Automotive AI
Budapest-based aiMotive has unveiled aiWare5, its newest automotive NPU IP designed to elevate AI workloads from L2+ to L4 automation levels. After a strategic partnership with Socionext, aiWare5 is now generally available for licensing. This iteration enhances the previous aiWare4 version by providing better support for advanced AI models and offering a GPU-optimized emulator for rapid prototyping.
aiWare5 maintains high efficiency while increasing throughput, accommodating platforms like Nextchip APACHE6. Its ASIL B certification places safety as a cornerstone for automotive applications, ensuring compatibility with stringent safety standards.
Coupled with aiWare Studio and its advanced modeling tools, aiWare5 enables developers to optimize workloads before hardware rollout, reducing timelines and risks. Márton Fehér, SVP of Semiconductor Engineering, highlighted aiWare5's automotive-specific focus as a competitive edge over general designs.
