Airgas Provides Essential Nitrogen for NASA's Artemis II Launch

Air Liquide's subsidiary, Airgas, has played a vital role in NASA’s Artemis II mission by supplying crucial high-pressure nitrogen. This 10-day expedition represents the first crewed flight in the Artemis program and has transported a four-person crew around the Moon. It marks a significant step towards establishing a permanent lunar presence. Air Liquide has been a long-term collaborator with NASA, supplying essential gases for over five decades.

Located in Merritt Island, Florida, Airgas efficiently managed the nitrogen supply essential for the launch operations at Kennedy Space Center. Their expertise ensured the nitrogen delivered matched the rigorous demands of the Artemis II launch, which included supporting the Space Launch System rocket during its countdown and liftoff.
