AmplexDiagnostics Unveils New Molecular Diagnostic Tool

AmplexDiagnostics and Scope Biosciences have jointly announced a breakthrough in molecular diagnostics with their new technology, eazySNP. This innovation combines LAMP and CRISPR techniques to achieve rapid and specific detection of genetic variants. The collaborative effort has resulted in the launch of the first CE-IVD product leveraging this technology.

The initial product, eazySNP C. auris FKS1 S639, targets Candida auris, a major multidrug-resistant yeast. This diagnostic test is crucial for identifying mutations in the FKS1 gene, key for echinocandin resistance detection. It provides results in 45 minutes using the eazyMini platform, offering a swift and precise solution.
