Amrize Expands Production Capacity at U.S. Cement Plant

Amrize Ltd has announced a significant expansion of its cement plant in Ste. Genevieve, Missouri, increasing production by 660,000 short tons annually. This expansion enhances the plant's capacity to 5.5 million short tons per year, making it North America’s largest cement production facility. The project is part of a broader $700 million investment strategy by Amrize in 2025 aimed at better serving its customers.

The expansion aligns with Amrize's "Made in America" initiative, which emphasizes domestic manufacturing and supports local employment. Jaime Hill, President of Amrize Building Materials, stated that the plant sets industry standards and contributes significantly to American infrastructure development. This initiative solidifies Amrize's position as a leading cement producer in the U.S., backed by an efficient distribution network.
