Aramco and Pasqal Launch Saudi Arabia's First Quantum Computer

Aramco and Pasqal have announced the deployment of the first quantum computer in Saudi Arabia, marking a significant technological advancement in the Middle East. This quantum computer, dedicated to industrial applications, signifies progress in the region's technology sector, particularly in the energy, materials, and industrial fields.

Installed at Aramco's data center in Dhahran, the quantum computer utilizes Pasqal's neutral-atom technology. This development aligns with Aramco's strategy to enhance efficiency and innovation through advanced digital technologies. Pasqal, in delivering this computer, strengthens its global position by offering industry-ready quantum solutions.

Pasqal's system, controlling 200 qubits, facilitates the exploration of complex quantum algorithms. This initiative includes training programs to bolster Saudi Arabia's quantum ecosystem, nurturing local talent. Wa'ed Ventures, Aramco's venture capital arm, has supported Pasqal since 2023, fostering a regional quantum ecosystem.
