Arverne Group expands its geothermal lithium portfolio in Auvergne

Arverne Group, France's leading provider of geothermal solutions, is strengthening its assets with a new exploration permit in the Auvergne region. The exclusive exploration permit, named "Limagne Basin," covers 442.68 km² in the Puy-de-Dôme department for a period of five years. It follows the 3D exploration carried out on the "Riom-Clermont-Métropole" exploration permit.

This strategic step aims to assess the region's geothermal lithium potential, complementing the geothermal heat studied by Arverne. The group envisions an integrated renewable heat production and lithium extraction system, following the model already deployed in Northern Alsace.

Thanks to its collaboration with the BRGM, Arverne relies on solid geological, hydrogeological, and thermal data for its future development. This strategy could make Auvergne a major hub for the group, reinforcing its ambition to be a leader in the geothermal sector in France.
