The Arverne group contributes to E.Leclerc's energy transition
On June 5, 2025, Arverne Group, a specialist in renewable underground resources, presented its geothermal drilling project to Michel-Édouard Leclerc, president of the E.Leclerc chain, in Frouard. This 22,000 m² supermarket will be the first in France to use geothermal energy for its energy needs. Arverne is drilling 53 150-meter boreholes beneath the parking lot, with nine people working over a three-month period.
This initiative is part of E.Leclerc's eco-friendly strategy, which includes LED lighting, solar panels, and electric charging stations. According to Pierre Brossollet, CEO of Arverne, this collaboration could usher in a sustainable shift toward renewable energy solutions adapted to current challenges.
