Athena Gold Completes Till Survey at Laird Lake Project
Athena Gold Corporation has announced the completion of its till survey at the Laird Lake gold project in Ontario's Red Lake District. This marks a significant milestone for the company's exploration strategy across a 4,158-hectare area.
The survey, initiated in May 2025, involved collecting 2,048 samples using a grid spacing of 100m x 100m and 200m x 200m in various areas. The methodology mirrored West Red Lake Gold's successful survey at the nearby Madsen Mine. Results from Athena's survey aim to identify anomalies and refine drill targets for a planned winter drilling program. Assay results are anticipated in late summer 2025.
Located near the Madsen Mine and Kinross Gold's Great Bear project, Laird Lake is accessible by road and remains underexplored. Athena's data-driven approach seeks to maximize the potential for a significant discovery in this renowned gold district.
