University of St. Gallen inaugurates "Auto-Swiss Mobility Chair"

At the end of 2024, the University of St. Gallen signed an agreement with auto-suisse to finance a chair dedicated to mobility management. This initiative, supported by a contribution of 2.68 million Swiss francs from the Association of Swiss Automobile Importers, aims to study the transformation of the automotive industry and future mobility. The chair will benefit from eight years of funding.

The global automotive industry is undergoing a major transformation process, marked by megatrends such as digitalization, electrification and automation. This chair at the HSG, supported by auto-suisse, is intended to explore these issues in depth while guaranteeing complete research freedom.

With this collaboration, HSG is strengthening its capabilities in mobility management. The aim is to develop optimal solutions to integrate various modes of transport, while taking into account the diversity of vehicle needs and land use planning challenges.
