Autodoc and Apollo Funds Conclude Partnership Successfully

Autodoc SE, a leading European online retailer for automotive parts, has completed its partnership with Apollo Funds. Apollo Funds acquired a minority stake in Autodoc in April 2024. The partnership enhanced governance and scalability, preparing Autodoc for potential IPO prospects. The founders Alexej Erdle, Max Wegner, and Vitalij Kungel now hold full ownership of Autodoc through AutoTech GmbH & Co. KG.

The transaction occurred alongside a €530 million Term Loan B placement, concluding this strategic collaboration. Autodoc aims to leverage its robust position in the capital markets, accentuating its digital and AI capabilities for significant market opportunities. The Supervisory Board will see the Apollo representatives step down, leaving the board with the founders and three independent members.

Apollo's strategic guidance was crucial in refining financial reporting and enhancing internal processes. The partnership ensured Autodoc's readiness for institutional markets. The founders express gratitude to Apollo for their impactful collaboration.
