Avant Brands Completes LED Retrofit at Flowr Facility

Avant Brands Inc. has successfully completed a major LED lighting retrofit at its Flowr Group Okanagan Inc. facility in Kelowna, B.C. The project replaced traditional high-pressure sodium fixtures with energy-efficient LEDs across all flower rooms, supported by the British Columbia government's energy efficiency incentive program.

The retrofit covered the entire 80,000 square foot facility, reducing the project cost to approximately $1.93 million, under the original estimate of $2.70 million. The initiative is projected to deliver significant annual savings and reduce CO₂ emissions by up to 36 tonnes annually. Norton Singhavon, CEO, emphasized the importance of this retrofit in enhancing operational efficiencies and sustaining long-term margins.
