ESR Secures US$850 Million to Boost Growth in APAC

ESR has announced securing US$850 million in fresh equity capital to bolster its long-term growth strategy focused on logistics real estate and data centres in Asia-Pacific (APAC). The additional capital comes from existing shareholders, highlighting confidence in ESR's strategic direction and execution capabilities.

This investment follows the company's major restructuring efforts, which generated over US$2 billion from streamlining its portfolio. These funds are being redirected into core growth areas, enabling ESR to expand its operations and capitalize on trends like e-commerce growth and digitalisation.

ESR's President, Phil Pearce, emphasized the importance of the company's partnerships with global investors, stating that the new capital will accelerate development and fundraising initiatives. The strategy targets key markets including Australia, Japan, and South Korea, with an expanded focus in Greater China, India, and Southeast Asia.

ESR continues to meet the increasing demand for large, well-located logistics assets and is progressing a US$9 billion development pipeline to cater to customer needs. The company’s data centres business benefits from early land and power acquisition, supporting scalable development across APAC.
