Commerzbank Reviews UniCredit's Takeover Offer
Commerzbank has acknowledged the publication of UniCredit's offer document. UniCredit proposes 0.485 of its shares for each Commerzbank share, equivalent to approximately €31.07 per share, based on UniCredit's closing price of €64.06 on May 4, 2026. This offer presents an 8.7% discount compared to Commerzbank's closing share price of €34.02 on the previous day.
Commerzbank's Board of Managing Directors and Supervisory Board plan to review this unsolicited offer and release a reasoned opinion under the German Securities Acquisition and Takeover Act. Additionally, Commerzbank will announce its quarterly results and provide a strategy update through 2030 on May 8, 2026.
