Barton Gold Distributes $643,183 in JMEI Tax Credits

Barton Gold Holdings Limited has announced the distribution of $643,183 in Junior Minerals Exploration Incentive (JMEI) tax credits. These credits have benefited around 40 eligible investors who acquired shares during the company's June 2025 premium placement. The Australian Taxation Office has approved the distribution.

The JMEI program allows exploration companies to distribute refundable tax credits to shareholders who purchase new shares during a certain period. The credits issued are based on the investment amount multiplied by the corporate tax rate, offering investors either refundable tax offsets or franking credits.

Barton's corporate tax return for 2025 reported $2,731,882 in eligible exploration expenditure. The company raised $3 million by placing 4,285,722 new shares, with investors receiving tax credits of $0.15 per $0.70 share, marking a 21.4% return per dollar invested.
