Biophytis Updates on Hong Kong Joint Venture Progress

Biophytis SA has provided an update on its joint venture in Hong Kong. The company, specializing in longevity therapies, shared insights into its strategic developments and expectations. Announced in June 2026, the joint venture, Biophytis Biopharmaceutical Holding LTD, is progressing towards formalizing initial contributions.

The initiative involves transferring intellectual property, including patents for BIO101 in China, Japan, and South Korea, and establishing a licensing agreement with royalties for Biophytis. An initial funding tranche of $3 million from Asian partners is expected soon, part of a $20 million commitment.

Preparation is underway for a Phase 3 clinical trial for sarcopenia. Biophytis aims to secure authorization in China, complementing approvals in Europe. The collaboration will extend BIO101's reach internationally, with financial strategies designed to protect shareholder interests, creating shared value among stakeholders.
