QNX Enhances Learning Platform to Boost Global Developer Skills

QNX, a BlackBerry Limited division, has expanded its free Online Learning platform. This initiative now offers developers and students broader access to high-quality training. Initially, the platform provided three courses; it now features 14 self-paced modules echoing the company's complete instructor-led curriculum. This affords learners practical experience with the QNX Operating System (OS), enhancing their technical skills for future advancements.

The platform's growth highlights a direct link between learning and practical application. A quarter of participants have transitioned from courses to obtaining a free, non-commercial QNX Everywhere development licence, a testament to its effectiveness. Senior Vice President Grant Courville emphasized the importance of providing accessible training, which in turn speeds up skill acquisition among engineers.

QNX anticipates further expanding the course offerings, integrating advanced content to support the evolving software landscape. The platform, made in partnership with educational institutions and training providers, has reached over 12,000 active learners globally. Developers can enrol now and begin working with QNX tools immediately with a free development licence.
