BRAIN Biotech AG Secures EUR 11.51 Million from Royalty Pharma

BRAIN Biotech AG has announced a major milestone payment of EUR 11.51 million from Royalty Pharma. This payment is linked to the progress achieved with the investigational pharma compound deucrictibant, under a royalty contract dated September 20, 2024. This achievement significantly raises the likelihood of additional future payments up to EUR 96.65 million.

The successful outlook necessitates a reassessment of liabilities per IFRS 9, leading to a non-cash financial charge of up to EUR 28 million for the fiscal year 2025/26. These accounting effects are expected to be neutralized over the agreement's term. BRAIN Biotech continues to anticipate a break-even adjusted Group EBITDA for this fiscal year.
