BTU Metals Corp. Acquires Dixie East Project
BTU Metals Corp., based in Vancouver, has secured a 100% interest in the Dixie East Project, located immediately east of Kinross Gold's Great Bear Project. This acquisition marks a significant addition to BTU's portfolio of Ontario projects. The Dixie East area comprises nearly 10 kilometers of structural trends similar to those hosting Kinross's world-class Dixie gold deposit.
Remarkably unexplored for LP Fault-style gold mineralization, the area has not seen drilling for over 30 years. Geological indicators suggest potential for gold deposits akin to those at the Great Bear site. Initial exploration activities are being organized to develop a comprehensive geological model.
CEO Paul Wood emphasized the company's priority to commence a reconnaissance program. With exploration planned to begin soon, BTU anticipates providing updates on its progress and other exploration results from its Ontario properties.
