BTU Metals Corp. Secures 100% Interest in Dixie East Project
BTU Metals Corp., a junior mining exploration company based in Vancouver, has announced the acquisition of a 100% interest in the Dixie East Project, located strategically east of Kinross Gold's Great Bear Dixie Project. Spanning 10 kilometers, the area remains largely unexplored, with no drilling in over 30 years, focusing previously on base metals at the eastern edge.
Geological indicators at Dixie East mirror those at the Great Bear deposit, suggesting potential for significant gold mineralization. Initial exploration activities are being planned. CEO Paul Wood emphasized the priority of conducting a reconnaissance program in the upcoming weeks.
BTU's portfolio also includes properties west of Dixie East and in Ontario's Wawa gold district. The company remains debt-free, with minimal property obligations.
