SKAN Group Finalizes Acquisition of Metronik

On August 4, 2025, SKAN Group, a leader in isolator systems for aseptic production in pharma and biotech, announced the completion of its acquisition of a majority stake in Metronik d.o.o. This acquisition, initially disclosed in May, positions SKAN to enhance its offerings with Metronik’s expertise in manufacturing digitalization software, including Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).

Founded in 1990 in Ljubljana, Metronik is recognized for its modular software solutions that support digital integration and automation in the life sciences sector. These capabilities will enable SKAN to advance pharmaceutical manufacturing processes, providing efficiency and regulatory compliance. The strategic acquisition allows SKAN to blend its core competencies with cutting-edge digital tools and expand its reach as a comprehensive solution provider.

The acquisition also shows promise financially, with Metronik expected to contribute positively to SKAN’s earnings this year. SKAN now holds 76% of Metronik shares, with the remaining 24% retained by Metronik's management. Metronik will integrate into SKAN’s Services & Consumables segment, bolstering sales and profitability.
