CCL Industries Expands Avery with Acquisition of We Print Lanyards

CCL Industries Inc., a leader in specialty labels and packaging, announced the acquisition of Humphreys Holdings Limited, operating as We Print Lanyards. This UK-based firm specializes in custom lanyards, name badges, and ID cards. The acquisition, valued at $5.6 million, supports Avery's expansion into access control and badging technologies. This move targets the retail, hospitality, and events sectors, aiming to enhance Avery's product portfolio. Humphreys Holdings reported $4.1 million in sales in 2024 with a 25% EBITDA margin.

The transaction, funded through cash without incurring debt, remains subject to customary closing conditions. CCL's CEO, Geoffrey T. Martin, highlighted the strategic fit with Avery's growth trajectory in the credentials market. The acquisition reflects CCL's commitment to broadening its reach in specialty markets by adding complementary technologies and products.
