Charwood Innovation Advances Green Gas Integration with GRDF Project

Charwood Energy's subsidiary, Charwood Innovation, has been selected for GRDF's project on injecting gas from pyro-gasification into the distribution network. This project seeks to validate the technical feasibility of integrating green gas in existing systems, contributing to the decarbonization of energy. Charwood, based in Morbihan, focuses on ensuring the new gas meets GRDF specifications at industrial flow rates.

The initiative, which supports three projects with €400,000 each, aims to address technical hurdles and promote sustainable energy solutions. This endeavor solidifies Charwood Innovation's ability to integrate and upscale pyro-gasification technology, helping to inject significant green gas volumes into the network.

Emphasizing energy transition, pyro-gasification converts solid residues into gas under high temperatures, enhancing local green gas production and reducing greenhouse emissions. Charwood's involvement highlights its commitment to complementing existing biomass solutions and fostering local energy sovereignty.
