COBCO Commissions First Production Lines for Battery Materials in Morocco

COBCO, a prominent battery materials provider for Europe and North America, has initiated its first batch of NMC PCAM production lines in Jorf Lasfar, Morocco. This development is a significant progress in establishing a sustainable production ecosystem for battery materials. These lines will assist COBCO in addressing the increasing demand for battery components, particularly in European and American markets.

The production lines utilize advanced technology, ensuring high-quality outputs while meeting rigorous environmental standards. As part of an expansive project, COBCO plans to integrate Lithium Iron Phosphate cathode materials and advanced recycling capabilities, aiming for a 70 GWh production capacity, supporting over one million electric vehicles annually.

COBCO is committed to using Morocco's renewable resources to achieve a 100% green energy operation by 2026.
