Legrand to Acquire Majority Stake in Cogelec
Legrand, listed on Euronext Paris, has signed an agreement to acquire Cogelec, a French company specializing in access control technology. This transaction, valued at approximately €254 million, involves acquiring a 60.09% stake in Cogelec, with an offer price of €29 per share. The deal is pending customary conditions and regulatory approval from French authorities. If completed, Legrand plans a tender offer for remaining shares, potentially leading to a full acquisition.
The deal aligns with Legrand's strategic roadmap and strengthens its position in digital lifestyle solutions. Cogelec, with revenue of €74 million in 2024, views this as an opportunity to enhance growth and innovation.
The acquisition is expected to be finalized in late 2025, with Cogelec's shares resuming trading shortly.
