Michelin completes the acquisition of Cooley Group

Michelin has announced the completion of its acquisition of the Cooley Group, officially finalized on January 22, 2026. This strategic transaction brings together two companies with similar commitments to innovation and quality. Cooley, celebrating its centenary, is renowned for its expertise in high-performance polymer-coated fabrics.

Its vertical integration and innovative capabilities are enabling Michelin to expand geographically, particularly in North America. The financing was secured from available cash, thus preserving the group's financial stability. In 2025, Cooley generated $168 million in revenue with its 300 employees across its four North American sites.
