Dalata Expands into Spain with New Hotel in Madrid

Dalata Hotel Group PLC, a prominent hotel operator in the UK and Ireland, has announced its first venture into Spain. A new Clayton Hotel will be established in Valdebebas, Madrid, marking Dalata's third hotel in Continental Europe. The 243-bedroom hotel is set to open in early 2029 and will feature a restaurant, bar, meeting spaces, an outdoor pool, and a gym.

The hotel will be strategically located near Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport, making it well-positioned to attract guests. Valdebebas is growing rapidly, with attractions like IFEMA Madrid and Real Madrid City. Dalata's expansion into this vibrant neighborhood aligns with its strategy to operate in key European cities.

The building is designed to be environmentally friendly, equipped with heat pump technology and aiming for LEED Gold certification. The 15-year lease agreement with Grupo Insur includes a minimum guaranteed rent and performance-based terms.
