Daldrup & Söhne AG Secures Contract for Geothermal Wells in Aschheim
Daldrup & Söhne AG, a specialist in drilling technology and geothermal solutions, has received a contract from AFK Geothermie GmbH to drill two deep geothermal wells in Aschheim. The contract is valued at approximately EUR 16–18 million.
The drilling, set to reach depths of up to 3,700 meters, is scheduled to begin at the end of 2026 and expected to conclude by mid-2027. This project builds on previous successful drilling projects by Daldrup for AFK.
The new wells aim to enhance AFK's heat generation capacity, potentially increasing geothermal energy's share in heating supply to 95% and offering renewable heat to an additional 1,200 households and businesses in the region.
