Daldrup & Söhne AG Secures Geothermal Drilling Contract in Prenzlau

Daldrup & Söhne AG has been awarded a geothermal drilling contract in Prenzlau, Germany, valued at approximately 5.2 million euros. The project, scheduled to commence in the third quarter of 2025, aims to upgrade and recondition an existing borehole and drill a new well to a depth of about 1,000 meters. This geothermal doublet is expected to supply district heating to around 5,500 households, leveraging federal funding for efficient heating networks.

The company is undergoing a generational transition, with Steffen Kanitz joining the Supervisory Board. Kanitz, who has extensive experience in business administration and energy policy, replaces Heinrich Goßheger, a long-standing board member. This change signals Daldrup & Söhne AG's preparation for future growth in the geothermal energy sector.
