Leadership Transition at DEAG: Breitenecker Succeeds Kornett
DEAG Deutsche Entertainment AG has announced a leadership transition with Markus Breitenecker set to become Chairman of the Executive Board. He will succeed Detlef Kornett at the end of 2026, when Kornett steps down after 13 years. Under Kornett, DEAG expanded internationally and achieved record revenue of EUR 490 million in 2025.
Breitenecker, with extensive experience in media and entertainment, will join DEAG's Executive Board on November 1, 2026. His focus will be on international growth and enhancing market position. He previously served as COO at ProSiebenSat.1 Media SE.
Tobias Buck, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, expressed gratitude for Kornett's contributions and welcomed Breitenecker's leadership to guide DEAG's future development.
