Deutsche Telekom Expands Share Buy-back Program by 3 Billion Euros
Deutsche Telekom has announced an increase in its 2026 share buy-back program, adding up to 3 billion euros by the end of the year. This decision, approved by the Board of Management on August 6, 2026, aims to address current factors influencing the company's share price.
The original program, initiated in early 2026 with a budget of 2 billion euros, now has the potential to reach up to 5 billion euros. As of August 5, 2026, Deutsche Telekom had already repurchased around 42.1 million shares for approximately 1.2 billion euros.
The move is intended to capitalize on share price volatility and enhance earnings per share by reducing the number of outstanding shares. The company's financial results provide ample room for these additional buy-backs, based on the April 2025 Shareholders' Meeting authorization.
