DF Group Ventures into Lucrative Blood Plasma Market

Cologne-based DF Deutsche Forfait AG has announced the acquisition of Ruhr-Plasma-Zentrum Bochum GmbH through its subsidiary, Deutsche Blutplasma HP GmbH. This move signifies DF Group's entry into the blood plasma market, aligning with its M&A strategy focused on the food and pharmaceutical sectors. The global demand for blood plasma derivatives is significant, with the market projected to exceed 50 billion USD by 2024. In Germany alone, 15,000 plasma donations are required daily.

Hans-Joachim von Wartenberg, a Management Board member, emphasized the profitability and potential of the plasma collection business. The new acquisition will allow DF Group to expand its operations and strengthen marketing efforts. This transaction marks the company's second successful acquisition in ten months, highlighting its commitment to growth in the blood plasma field.
