Vanguard Group Discloses Position in Direct Line Insurance
The Vanguard Group, Inc. has released a disclosure under Rule 8.3 of the Takeover Code regarding its interests in Direct Line Insurance Group plc. As of 14 March 2025, Vanguard reported holding 70,356,448 ordinary shares, representing a 5.37% stake in Direct Line.
The disclosure also noted transactions involving Direct Line shares. Vanguard purchased 22,972 shares at 2.81 GBP each and sold 41,914 shares at 2.79 GBP. No transactions were reported involving cash-settled or stock-settled derivatives.
Vanguard confirmed no indemnity or option arrangements concerning Direct Line securities. Additionally, no agreements affecting voting rights or future transactions related to derivative-referenced securities were disclosed.
Vanguard's disclosure includes its position in Aviva plc as well.
