Diversified Energy Acquires Maverick Natural Resources

Diversified Energy Company PLC has agreed to acquire Maverick Natural Resources for approximately $1,275 million. This acquisition is set to increase Diversified's asset base and improve its commodity mix, with a 55% rise in free cash flow expected. The move will expand Diversified's operations into the Permian Basin, enhancing its strategic presence across multiple regions.

The acquisition aligns with Diversified's long-term strategy of multi-basin commodity diversification and efficient production. It offers synergies and enhanced margins by integrating Maverick's liquids-rich assets. Financial benefits include improved revenue and strategic cash flow generation, promising consistent shareholder value creation through debt reduction and dividends.

The combined entity will operate across five regions, with a production base of 1,200 MMcfe/d (~200 Mboe/d), aiming for sustainable operations and environmental stewardship.
