DKSH Expands Healthcare Business with Meliane® Acquisition

DKSH Management Ltd. has signed an agreement to acquire the Meliane brand from Bayer. This acquisition aligns with DKSH's strategy to grow its Healthcare Own Brands portfolio and strengthen its position in key markets across Europe, North Africa, Asia, and the Middle East.

The Meliane oral contraceptive, a low-dose combined contraceptive, has been recognized in the market for over thirty years. It holds a strong market position and is trusted by physicians.

The acquisition supports DKSH's focus on Women's Health, adding a reliable brand to its existing range. In 2025, Meliane generated net sales of approximately CHF 15 million, primarily in markets already served by DKSH.

Patrik Grande, head of DKSH's Healthcare unit, emphasized the strategic importance of the acquisition for strengthening DKSH’s market access and commercialization abilities.
