Procivis Joins mDL4EU as Technology Partner

On October 22, 2026, Procivis, a leader in digital identity technology and subsidiary of Orell Füssli, announced its role as a technology partner in mDL4EU. This European consortium is working on integrating mobile driving licenses into national EUDI Wallets, co-funded by the European Union’s Digital Europe Programme. The project aims to revolutionize how driving licenses are issued and verified across Europe.

mDL4EU, involving 24 Member States, will develop systems for issuing mobile driving licenses compatible with EU standards. Procivis will contribute its expertise in mDL technology to ensure these licenses function seamlessly within the EUDI Wallet across national borders. The project will last 24 months starting November 2026.

Andreas Freitag, Co-CEO of Procivis, emphasized the significance of mobile driving licenses as they become one of the first digital credentials in the EUDI Wallet, highlighting Procivis's role in ensuring cross-border interoperability.
