EDF Announces Board Nominations and Financial Decisions
On May 5, 2025, EDF's annual Ordinary General Meeting made pivotal decisions influencing its leadership and financial strategies. Bernard Fontana was appointed as Director to replace Luc Rémont, with a term extending until the General Meeting in 2028. The board also renewed the terms of Nathalie Collin and Delphine Gény-Stephann, and introduced Valérie Bros and Catherine Lagneau as new Directors based on state proposals.
EDF's board now comprises 16 members, maintaining a 50% female representation. Bernard Fontana, formerly Group Executive Vice-President, was nominated for Chairman and CEO. Pending the appointment, he will act as interim CEO. Financially, EDF has distributed €2 billion as a share premium to the French State, its sole shareholder.
