Edison Releases Report on Franklin Global Trust (FRGT)

London, UK, 10 June 2025 — Edison Investment Research has published a new report on Franklin Global Trust (LSE: FRGT). Previously known as the Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust, FRGT has been managed by Zehrid Osmani since October 2018. Osmani leads the Global Long-Term Unconstrained (GLTU) team at Franklin Templeton, based in Edinburgh.

In a strategic shift, the GLTU team will merge with Franklin Equity Group (FEG) on 12 July 2025. FEG, which includes about 65 investment professionals, will add Jonathan Curtis, its CIO, as co-manager of the trust. Despite the merger, FRGT’s investment strategy will remain unchanged. The move aims to bolster the team’s research capabilities by integrating into FEG's larger operation. With a focus on high-growth sectors like technology and healthcare, FEG aligns with FRGT's strategy of targeting innovative companies with long-term growth potential.
