Edisun Power Europe AG acquires SMARTENERGY Group AG

Edisun Power Europe AG finalized the acquisition of SMARTENERGY Group AG's business activities on August 23, 2026. This decision is in line with the resolutions of the general meeting of May 29, 2026, aimed at consolidating the activities of the two entities.

The acquisition will serve to strengthen Edisun Power's growth and focus its efforts on three key markets: renewable energy for data centers, synthetic fuels, and solar and wind power. A vendor loan from SMARTENERGY, amounting to approximately CHF 440 million, supports this transaction.

Edisun Power also announced a capital increase, with the issuance of new shares planned for the coming months. Furthermore, a change of company name is planned for the end of 2026, marking a new era for the company under the name SMARTENERGY AG.
