MuniNet is upgrading its network with Ekinops' 400G technology
MuniNet, a fiber optic network operator in Kentucky, is adopting Ekinops' 400G technology. This upgrade aims to increase capacity and reduce congestion on its existing network. Ekinops' FlexRate™ solution, supporting 5G backhaul and cloud services, promises optimized ROI and optimal service continuity. MuniNet also benefits from simplified network management and is preparing for a future expansion to 800G through the Ekinops360 platform.
Brent Shelton, Chief Technology Officer of MuniNet, praised this innovative solution, which improves both infrastructure and customer experience. Kevin Antill of Ekinops emphasized the importance of this collaboration in developing high-performance optical solutions. The project, already being deployed, will be finalized in 2026.
