Electricité de Strasbourg: Financial results for the first half of 2025
Electricité de Strasbourg (ÉS) recorded a turnover of 676.7 million euros in the first half of 2025, down 11.3% compared to 2024, due to the fall in energy prices for 2025. However, operating profit increased by 15.4%, reaching 118.1 million euros, supported by an increase in volumes sold.
The group expanded its operations, resuming electricity distribution in several municipalities. Electricity volumes distributed increased by 2.5%, and ES continued to roll out smart meters. Energy sales also increased.
In terms of renewable energy, ES's facilities operated as planned. The Alsace Geothermal Lithium project was designated a "European Strategic Project," paving the way for further studies. Despite these results, uncertainties remain regarding the climate impact and energy price volatility for the remainder of the year.
