Encavis Achieves Record Year with Major Capacity Expansion in 2025

Encavis GmbH marked a record year in 2025 with an additional 854 MW of capacity, boosting its total to 3.3 GW. The company, headquartered in Hamburg, is a leading Independent Power Producer in the renewable energy sector. Key acquisitions, such as the Giotto and Aragón portfolios, contributed to significant capacity increases. These expansions exemplify Encavis’ strength in acquiring and financing large-scale projects.

Encavis successfully participated in Italy’s latest FER-X auction, securing 140 MW from the solar projects selected. This positions the company strongly in the dynamic Italian solar market. Additionally, Encavis continues to advance in battery storage, with projects in Hettstedt and Apeldoorn nearing completion.

The firm also signed new Power Purchase Agreements with companies like Sinebrychoff, Amazon, and Google, broadening its customer base. Stern Energy, a subsidiary, expanded its service offerings in system integration and Operation & Maintenance for battery storage systems, highlighting Encavis’ strategic growth across Europe.
