Energiekontor AG Advances Nartum Wind Park Project

Energiekontor AG, based in Bremen, Germany, has finalized the financial requirements for its Nartum wind park in the district of Rotenburg. The project is set to expand the company's portfolio to approximately 650 megawatts in the coming years. With financial closure, construction is on track to start in 2026, and operations are planned to commence in 2027. This wind park will feature four Nordex turbines, each generating 5.7 megawatts.

The project expects to produce about 66 gigawatt hours annually, sufficient to power over 20,000 households while reducing CO2 emissions by more than 50,000 tonnes yearly. Energiekontor's CEO, Peter Szabo, highlighted the company’s dedication to expanding its power generation capacity and meeting climate goals. Including Nartum, the company has several wind and solar projects underway, which will jointly contribute to a generation capacity of over 200 megawatts.
