Energiekontor AG Secures Financial Close for First French Solar Projects

Energiekontor AG, a prominent German renewable energy developer, has achieved financial close for its inaugural French solar projects, marking a significant milestone in its expansion strategy. The two projects, Rignac and Lachapelle-Auzac, are situated in southeastern France's Occitania region and boast a combined capacity of 40 megawatts. These projects were successful in the French Energy Regulatory Commission's 2024 tender for photovoltaic systems.

The projects are anticipated to strengthen Energiekontor's portfolio by transitioning to operational status upon completion. The company highlights this achievement as part of its broader 2023-2028 growth strategy, emphasizing regional diversification and development of new markets. Energiekontor plans to continue expanding its French pipeline, with additional applications totaling 130 megawatts currently under review.
