Financial Close for Beiersdorf-Freudenberg Wind Park Project Announced by Energiekontor AG

Energiekontor AG has announced the financial close of its Beiersdorf-Freudenberg wind park project in Brandenburg. This marks a significant step for the company as construction work is set to commence. Approved for construction with a nominal capacity of 17 megawatts, the project aims to be operational by 2027.

Three Nordex turbines, each with 5.7 megawatts output, will be installed, delivering around 36 gigawatt hours annually. This capacity can power approximately 11,000 households, reducing CO2 emissions by over 27,000 tonnes annually.

With this project, Energiekontor has achieved financial closure for 13 wind and solar projects, totaling 343 megawatts this year. Currently, 20 projects with over 628 megawatts capacity are under construction, including 200 megawatts for the company’s own portfolio.
