ENOGIA to Supply South Korea's First Privately Funded Waste-Heat-to-Power Project
ENOGIA has secured a multi-million euro contract to supply waste-heat-to-power technology for South Korea's first fully privately financed project at a fuel cell plant. This partnership with SK Telecom will utilize ENOGIA's Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) modules to convert waste heat into low-carbon electricity at the LOTTE Fine Chemical site in Ulsan. This project, backed by a 20-year service agreement, marks a significant step in enhancing energy efficiency and aligns with Korea's hydrogen economy goals.
The project exemplifies ENOGIA's commitment to finding innovative energy solutions without relying on public subsidies. The initiative involves key players like SK Telecom, LOTTE Fine Chemical, and Lotte SK Eneroot, demonstrating the maturity of such technologies for commercial deployment. Expected to commission between 2026 and 2027, this contract boosts ENOGIA’s presence in Asia and supports its strategic growth plan.
