Entech Secures Belgium Contract for Major Battery Storage System
Entech, a company specializing in energy storage and intelligent renewable energy management, has signed a contract with Eiffage Énergie Systèmes for the construction of a 170 MW / 340 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) in Belgium. This project marks the end of their joint venture, shifting towards project-by-project collaboration.
The contract, awarded by Aukera and backed by notable investors, involves constructing the BESS in La Louvière, which will connect to ELIA's grid, scheduled for commissioning in mid-2027. Entech will also manage a two-year operations and maintenance agreement.
Entech’s efforts showcase its expertise in large-scale energy storage projects, aiding its financial growth and international expansion in the sector.
